Yllas
In the midst of unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness lies the exotic Lappish resort of Ylläs. Renowned for Finland’s best and largest ski area for both alpine and cross-country skiing.
There is a warm friendly atmosphere in both resorts, excellent for an all-round winter holiday.
The accommodation standard is very high with good food, and many attractions off the slope that warrant a visit. There is a good chance of seeing the Northern Lights too. By March the days are longer, temperatures rise, and snow conditions are at their best.
Whatever time you choose, we are sure you will enjoy the uncommercialised natural splendour of Lapland’s skiing.
Resort attractions:
Some characterful local watering holes exist in Ylläs. Many excursions: including to the famous Ice Hotel; snowmobile, husky and reindeer safaris; ice-fishing, Northern Lights, Lappish night, icelandic horseriding and a visit to meet Santa at his home (available all season). |
