We are pleased to introduce one of the last Hidden Gems of Lapland SUOMU which is an ideal resort location for our series of I night tours in search of the elusive Santa Claus. Suomu follows our traditional path of being located in the wilderness away from main roads, being a totally non commercialised setting with a small hotel lying literally at the base of a slalom ski slope and a selection of log cabins within walking distance. Here is this beautiful setting it is so easy to believe that this is truly one of the many homes that Santa has in this magical land of Lapland . There is no official category for this resort but in terms of hotel accommodation our personal classification would be tourist category. Whilst offering standards not as high as our other resorts of Olos and Salla (which is naturally reflected in the price charged) we nevertheless believe that the location, beauty and charm of the resort when combined with the level of services provided offers super value for money.
Your Accommodation
Your resort offers a choice of accommodation consisting of cabins and hotel rooms. The main building houses hotel rooms, a swimming pool and a restaurant complex.
Log Cabins - Ideal for families as the capacity is between 4 and 6 persons. Each is equipped with a private shower sauna and wc and a romantic log fire (they are of course fully centrally heated). Each cabin will have a small kitchen area and a warm air clothes drier.
Hotel Room - Hotel rooms are available for I to 3 persons and are within the main hotel complex which also accommodates the restaurant and swimming pool. Each offers private facilities with shower and wc. These rooms are simply furnished and will attract those persons who wish easy access to the restaurant and bar without the need to change into their warm over clothing.
