Pyhä (pronounced 'poo-ha')-Luosto is one whole area, which comprised of two fell resorts located in the centre of Finnish Lapland and only about 90 minutes from the Arctic Circle.
The area has a stunning backdrop, surrounded by the Pyhätunturi National Park, an area of natural beauty, frozen lakes and vast forests thick with snow. Phyä is a perfect all-round winter wonderland holiday resort.
A visit to Santa’s Post Office is a memorable experience. Take the opportunity to post your Christmas present lists to Santa as well as sending Christmas cards with well wishes back home to friends and family with the official Lapland postal stamps in time of Christmas.

The après ski is always fairly lively, especially the live music and cosy après bar at the Hotel Pyha.
There is plenty of winter activities available including: snowmobiling, husky sledding, skiing, tobogganing, snow shoeing and visits in December to see Santa. Generally unless stated, activities will include the hire of the arctic suits, boots & helmets.
A valid full driving licenseis required for all snow mobile drivers.
Ice fishing is not a usual sport or hobby but is a fun local pastime. You can also visit the near Amethyst Mines or even Santa's Grotto.
