Levi

In the unspoilt scenery in the Arctic wilderness lies the exotic Lappish resort of Levi. Renowned as Finland’s best and most extensive ski areas along with Yllas for both alpine and cross-country skiing, they are also the most northerly in our ski programme with fantastic snow-sure skiing from November to May.

There is a warm friendly atmosphere at the resort, this makes it great for an all-round winter holiday. Accommodation standards are very high. The good food, and attractions off the slopes warrant a visit in their own right.

In the middle of the winter season the daylight hours are shorter and the temperatures are crisp dry and cold. However skiing amidst the silence of the fells, with the mystical blue light of ‘Kaamos’ and the long rose-coloured dawns and dusks, will leave you with some amazingly unforgettable images. There is also a good chance of seeing the infamous Northern Lights. By March the days are longer, temperatures rise, and snow conditions are at their best.

Whatever time you choose, we are sure you will enjoy the uncommercialised natural splendour of Lapland’s skiing.

Resort attractions: There are several lively bars and restaurants in Levi, Many excursions: including to the famous Ice Hotel; snowmobile, husky and reindeer safaris; ice-fishing, Northern Lights, Lappish night, icelandic horseriding and a visit to meet Santa at his home (available all season).
